Announcing the Selection Process for the Chianciano Art Biennale 2024

The London Art Biennale is excited to share the news from our sister exhibition, the Chianciano Art Biennale: the selection process for its 8th edition in 2024 is now officially open!

The Chianciano Art Biennale, a prestigious international platform, warmly invites artists from around the globe to submit their work. This is an unparalleled opportunity to be part of an event that transcends borders and showcases the rich diversity of contemporary art.

For more than a decade, the Chianciano Art Biennale has stood as a beacon of artistic excellence. Organized by the acclaimed Gagliardi Gallery in London, this event offers artists the chance to display their creations across thirteen galleries and the esteemed Chianciano Art Museum.

We are also proud to announce that 25 artists from the London Art Biennale 2023 have been pre-selected to participate in the Chianciano Biennale. These artists represent a diverse array of countries and artistic styles, showcasing the global spirit of our exhibitions. The pre-selected artists include Annalisa Avancini from Italy, Anne Moses from the UK, ARTPICA from Turkey, Bastiaen Vries from The Netherlands, Breanna Gordon from Canada, Carol Davison from the UK, Daniel Smith from the UK, David Atkinson from the UK, Eric Johnston from the USA, Francesca Trusso from Italy, Gela Durujeli from Georgia, John McSweeney from the UK, Kristaps Strauts from Latvia, Liz Purtill from Ireland, Lorina Tayag Capitulo from the Philippines and USA, Maayan Bachar from Israel, RENZHE from China, Rob Ridley from the UK, Rozemarlin Borkent from The Netherlands, Rui Fan from China, SALVA (Salvatore Balice) from Italy, Sophie Budge Art from the UK, Terry Merritt from the UK, Tomas Clayton from the UK, and Vladyslava Polishchuk from Ukraine.

Set in the Medieval Old Town of Tuscany, the Biennale promises an extraordinary experience in a landscape that inspires creativity. Surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany’s rolling hills, artists find a unique environment to enhance their work.

This year, we expect over 150 artists to participate, presenting their art alongside peers from all over the world. The Clancianum Galleries and the Chianciano Art Museum will be at the heart of this vibrant celebration of contemporary art, supplemented by seven additional exhibitions.
